Please join us and CNY Pride as we raise the First Light Pride Flag over Syracuse City Hall and officially kick of Pride Month in our beautiful city. We will have guests, speakers and lovely music. All are welcome!
Designed by eighth-generation Syracusan, Eric Hart, Owner of First Light Syracuse Goods™ and Hartbreakers Creative, the design is a representation of "Dawn's first light over Syracuse." This special variation is a unification of the Progress Pride flag and The First Light flag of Syracuse, NY, blending the symbolism and balancing the ideals of both flags. On the left side, the light blue, light pink, and white stripes represent transgender and nonbinary people. The brown and black stripes represent communities of color. The black stripe also represents those who have been lost to AIDS and those living with the condition today. On the right side, the rainbow stripes represent the diversity of LGBTQ communities around the world.
